these Indian foods contain high amounts of carbohydrates and low protein. Carbohydrates usually provides energy to our body and if we do not use this energy, our body converts the energy into fat so that the body can use it later as per requirements.

So if you usually eat Indian food and do 30 minutes of exercise or some physical work in a day, then your weight will not increase. Although your exercise time depends on your diet, if you eat 5 to 6 meals or more per day, then you have to keep yourself more active so that your body can use all utilize gained energy. This is also termed as calorie burning in fitness world.

If you want to lose weight, then take care of these things :

1. You should not skip meals but reduce the amount of food and increase the amount of protein in your meal. here are some rich protein rich food sources - cottage cheese, soybeans, gram, egg, meat, oats, spinach etc.
2. Reduce the use of oil and ghee in food.
3. Reduce or avoid sugar completely.
4. Keep yourself active and do not sleep immediately after eating.
5. Take care of your sleep and complete at least 7 hours of sleep in a day.
4. Eat less, but eat in 4-5 hours of interval, it will not give you acidity and will increase your metabolic power.
