Rishikesh is situated in the North India which is easily accessible from Delhi with approximate distance of 250 km. The nearest railway station is Haridwar and the nearest airport is Dehradun. As per the climate, best time to visit Rishikesh is between late September to April.

From Delhi, you can board direct bus from Kashmiri Gate or hire private taxi. You may have to spend 500-1000 INR per person for traveling by bus and 3000 INR for traveling by taxis. “OLA Out station” could be a cheapest and comfortable option if you are in-group of 3-4 people. This will also help you to directly board and drop you to your exact location.

If you are traveling by train, you can get taxis from Haridwar station which may cost you INR 50-100 /person. The journey is about 5-6 hours, So best time to travel is at night so that next day can be utilized in exploring city.
If you are a solo traveler, then you can stay in hostels, which is a very economical option. The “Lakshman Jhula” in Rishikesh is the best place to stay, from where almost all famous places are at a close distance; hence we recommend booking your hotels/hostel in advance else you may face difficulties in finding hotels/hostels of your choice.

Hostels may cost you around 300INR per day and hotels could cost you around 1000 -1500INR per day. You can also get bikes on rent which may cost you around 400-800INR per day. We strongly suggest you this option as it is very economical and convenient option to explore the city.

People do not prefer non-vegetarian food and alcohol in Rishikesh; hence, you will not find these options.

Day 1 (Rishikesh adventure tour packages):

After overnight travel, next day you can plan for river rafting for which you will find agents in every corner of the streets. There are plenty of options for river rafting such as 9KM, 12KM etc. We would recommend you to select 9KM rafting option for which you may have to spend around 300INR per person.

After river rafting you can try bungee jumping, for which you may have to spend around INR 3000. However, overcrowding issue may waste your precious time, so we recommend for advance booking through this site (www.jumpingheights.com/booknow.html)

Apart from bungee jumping, there are many adventure sports options are available in Rishikesh like Firefox, giant swing etc. For more information, you can visit  to this site (www.jumpingheights.com)

Day 2:

On the second day, you can plan to visit Beatles Ashram, which is about 4KM from lakshman Jhula. Beatles Ashram was earlier known as “Chaurasi Kutia” and used to run by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi during 1960-1970 as a meditation-training center. ”Chaurasi Kutia” got recognition of the “Beatles ashram” when Britain’s famous band “The Beatles” spent 11 days in this ashram for the education of spirituality and meditation.

Entry fee of “Beatles Ashram” may cost 150INR for Indians and 600INR for foreigners. This ashram closes at 5 pm, so plan your visit accordingly.

Rishikesh have many white sand beaches where you can spend evenings with mesmerizing sound of flowing waters of the Ganges. This would be your most beautiful experience in Rishikesh. We will try to describe it through below picture.
